Sunbathing

Tenerife is above all a beach resort island. It’s true one can diversify their stay in Tenerife by resorting to plenty other activities, but a holiday in Tenerife could not be conceived in the absence of sunbathing. Tenerife is the largest of all the islands in the Canary Archipelago, so one can easily imagine the array seemingly endless stretches of sand bordering Tenerife. Nature exploration

Tenerife is home to the largest and most impressive national park of Spain, that is, the Teide National Park. Amazing by its geological and biological uniqueness, this park is the height of all attempt to explore nature in Tenerife and, as some believe, in the entire archipelago. The Corona Forestal Nature Park and the Granadilla Moonscape could not be overlooked either, but Malpais de Guimar, as well as Acantilados de los Gigantes should also be mentioned given they yield great sights and excellent trekking and hiking opportunities.

Cuisine

Tenerife can be discovered and might prove to be surprising in its entire splendor in a variety of manners. Thus, in order to get to the core of what Tenerife really is, tourists can complement sunbathing and the miscellaneous range of activities with food and wine sampling. The famed gofio, papas arrugadas and goat cheese, not to mention the overwhelmingly rich range of fish dishes are but the top of the culinary treats iceberg, so to say. Yet, compared with Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and even Gran Canaria">Gran Canaria, Tenerife is the one island with the widest connections to the rest of the archipelago. Thus, one can make daytrips to virtually all the other Canary Islands and discover them for what they are by means of boat trips or flights within a single day time.
