The Nature Reserve Malpais de Guimar is located in southeast Tenerife, in the municipality of Guimar. It stretches in a surface of 290 hectares, and it is overtopped by the Montana Grande volcano, the crater of which exceeds 300 meters diameter. The highlights of the park refer to certain species of cacti, such as cardon, tabaibas and veodem, which are deemed regional symbols of the island.
