The community of Dominican nuns has been sheltered in the house of the governor since the early 17th century. There are several works of art of religious significance in the interior of the edifice, but the most treasured asset of the convent refers to the uncorrupted body of sister Maria de Jesus de Leon Delgado, which is revealed to the public once a year, on February the 15th.
