The Regional Military Museum of the Canary Islands is located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and it displays the entire military history of the archipelago, as from the attack led by the British admiral Horatio Nelson (in 1797) who lost one of his arms after a confrontation in Tenerife. The museum is hosted by a historic building, namely, the Almeida Castle (Castillo de Almeida).
