It seems the roots of nowadays Canarian culture are held in great respect in Tenerife, since the plethora of edifices preserving the traces of the past is complemented by another museum dedicated to such topics, namely, the Ceramics Center and Ethnographic Museum Cha Domitila. The lay-out of the museum was designed by Luis Ibanez, the activity of whom has references to the name of Cesar Manrique. The mission of the museum is to preserve and to bring to the knowledge of the public the traditional methods of pottery, as they were employed and observed by the Guanches.
